Overview of the Bachelor of Laws Honours / Bachelor of Communication

The Bachelor of Laws Honours / Bachelor of Communication is a combined degree that allows students to develop a deep understanding of the law and its applications, as well as the skills to effectively communicate and present information. This degree is designed to provide students with a competitive edge in their future careers, whether in the legal profession, government, or private industry.

Entry Requirements

The entry requirements for the Bachelor of Laws Honours / Bachelor of Communication include:


  • A minimum Selection Rank of 90 for Law
  • A minimum of 6 points taken from the best 2 or 3 subjects where A*=6, A=5, B=4, C=3, D=2, E=1 (AS Levels are equivalent to half points e.g. A=2.5, B=2 etc.) or higher for GCE A Levels
  • A total score of 33 or higher for International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma
  • Successful completion of a Diploma or Advanced Diploma for AQF level 5-6
  • Evidence of completing Year 11 and 12 in Australia at any level, or a STAT Written English score of 140 or higher

Fees and Scholarships

The cost of the course varies depending on the units chosen, and students may be eligible for a Commonwealth Supported Place. The university also offers a range of scholarships to help reduce the financial costs of studying. The International Welcome Scholarship, for example, offers eligible students between $8,000 and $11,000, depending on the course studied.
