Program Overview
This textiles program at Dundee's Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art & Design blends traditional techniques like screen printing and knitting with contemporary technologies, fostering a hands-on understanding of textiles in society. Students develop expertise in color, structure, and form, exploring the social and environmental impact of textiles and preparing for successful careers in textile design. Degree Overview:
As part of a vibrant studio and workshop culture, students will develop skills in traditional textile processes like screen printing and knit and stitch, alongside more contemporary technologies like 3D printing and laser cutting. Through these mediums, students will build and expand their knowledge of colour, structure, pattern, and form. Dundee is a UNESCO City of Design and home to the V&A Dundee. The city has a rich textile history, and many of our graduates establish themselves in the surrounding area, as well as across the world.
Careers:
Our students and graduates regularly win top awards through live industry briefs, international competitions and at the annual graduate showcase, New Designers.
