Program Overview

The Arabic, Islamic, Middle Eastern and North African Studies BA program provides students with an in-depth understanding of the Middle East and North Africa through Arabic language proficiency, cultural exploration, and analysis of contemporary issues. Students develop fluency in Arabic and gain insights into Islam, history, politics, and society, preparing them for careers in various sectors including media, law, business, and international development. The program includes a mandatory year abroad in an Arabic-speaking country, providing immersive cultural and linguistic experiences.
