Entry Requirements

• Mature applicants (i.e., over 23 years)
• Leaving Certificate Grade O6 at ordinary level in five subjects in the Leaving Certificate. Two of these subjects must be Mathematics and a language (English or Irish)
• QQI Level 5 – Full award with a minimum of eight modules
• Recognition of Prior Learning

Schedule

• 2-3 evenings per week 6pm to 9pm (online)
• Plus selected Saturdays per 9am – 1pm (online)

Induction

• Induction for the September 2024 programmes takes place on Saturday 7 September 2024 from 9.00am to 1.00pm
• In advance, you will be required to review Pre-Induction reading material
• During Induction, you will be given the opportunity to:
  • Meet your programme lecturers, programme co-ordinator and students
  • Overview of the programme handbook, programme’s modules, assessments and delivery timetable
  • Introduction to TUS learning systems including MS Office, Zoom, Moodle etc
  • Outline of the learning supports available to you during the programme

Progression

• Students who complete this Special Purpose Award are eligible to progress onto the Certificate in Supervisory Management and Team Leadership Programme.

• Program Structure: The program is delivered part-time over 12 weeks.
• Course Schedule: Classes are held 2-3 evenings per week from 6pm to 9pm (online) and on selected Saturdays from 9am to 1pm (online).

This module explores the principles and methodologies of continuous improvement, focusing on identifying and addressing areas for enhancement within organizations.
• Operations Excellence: This module delves into the core concepts and practices of operational excellence, covering topics such as process optimization, performance measurement, and quality management.
• Induction: Induction for the September 2024 program takes place on Saturday, September 7, 2024, from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm.
It also introduces learners to TUS learning systems, including MS Office, Zoom, Moodle, and outlines the learning supports available during the program.
