Programme Overview
This programme provides learners with a solid foundation in the core concepts and practical applications of logistics and supply chain management. It is designed to equip participants with the tools and techniques needed to navigate a range of scenarios within this vital business function.
Learners will develop a comprehensive understanding of how logistics and supply chains operate within and across organisations. Emphasis is placed on analysing and managing the complex challenges that arise in areas such as warehousing, transport, distribution, exporting, and customs operations.
As logistics and supply chain management continue to play a pivotal role in global business performance, this programme responds to the growing demand for skilled professionals in the sector. It supports learners in upskilling or reskilling, helping them to make a meaningful contribution to their organisation or to transition into new roles.
Graduates will be well prepared to make effective decisions, solve problems, and adapt to the evolving demands of the modern workplace.

- Contract Law, Customs and the Regulatory Environment

- Applied Practice 1: Personal and Professional Context
Entry Requirements
- Mature applicants (i.e., over 23 years)
- Leaving Certificate Grade O6 at ordinary level in five subjects in the Leaving Certificate. Two of these subjects must be Mathematics and a language (English or Irish)
- QQI Level 5 – Full award with a minimum of eight modules
- Recognition of Prior Learning
Schedule
- Programme Delivery: TWO Evenings per week TBD PLUS Selected Saturdays per semester
- For online programmes, lectures will be delivered online, and recordings of lectures will be available to view in the student’s own time.
Induction
- Induction for the September 2025 programmes takes place on Saturday 6 September 2025 from 9.00am to 1.00pm.
- In advance, you will be required to review Pre-Induction reading material, available to students before induction
- During Induction, you will be given the opportunity to:
- Meet your programme lecturers, programme co-ordinator and students
- Overview of the programme handbook, programme’s modules, assessments and delivery timetable
- Introduction to TUS learning systems including MS Office, Zoom, Moodle etc
- Outline of the learning supports available to you during the programme

- This programme will be funded/part-funded by Springboard+ for the academic year 2025/2026.

Progression
- Graduates of the Certificate in Logistics and Supply Chain Management may progress to the Higher Certificate in Procurement, Logistics and Supply Chain Management, also delivered part-time and online through TUS Flexible Learning.
- This progression route allows learners to deepen their understanding of procurement, operations, and strategic supply chain practices, while continuing to build their qualifications in a flexible and accessible way.
- The Higher Certificate is ideal for those looking to advance their career prospects in the logistics and supply chain sector or to move into more specialised roles across industries.
