Degree Overview:
This program is designed to upskill those working specifically in the field of green procurement in the built environment, applying efficient Green Procurement criteria and standards in order to better engage with green and energy challenges in construction works and consequently limit environmental impact, in a safe and sustainable manner. The aim of the programme is to increase the learners’ knowledge of principles and practices applied to the Green Procurement process in construction. This improved knowledge will allow professionals, staff members, employees, experts, and key players involved in procurement to apply their existing skills, so that relevant green procurement techniques, methods, and standards can be achieved.

Note:
The above can be completed as a single cert Micro-credential of 5 ECTS.
Assessment:
Assessment will be through a range of continuous assessments, which will involve:
- Case Studies
- Online Quizzes
- Project Reports
- Group Workshops
Other:
- The program is offered in collaboration with DAVY Horizons.
- Each 5 credits will normally equate to approximately 100 Total Learning Hours. Total Learning Hours includes the time you spend in class (lectures, tutorials, practical elements) and the time you spend completing work outside of college. The balance between these two varies by discipline, and by level of study. You should bear in mind that the workload will increase at particular times e.g. when assignments are due.
