Course Overview
This course is designed for those in technical management roles or aspiring to take on more management responsibility in an applied Engineering setting.
The programme is designed to combine specialised engineering knowledge and skills with enhanced theory and practice in engineering management. It has been designed by engineers, to develop engineering literate managers with the skills to contribute strategically to their organisations mission while leading innovative collaborative teams and meeting goals on time while managing available resources and costs. It aims to meet the needs of a rapidly changing engineering environment and address critical management skills gaps in industry. The flexibility and agility this programme offers, will allow participants to specialise in a pathway most suited to their skills, career aspirations, and employer needs while undertaking core modules that will give them a broader insight into engineering management.

Entry Requirements
A Level 8 Honours (Grade 2.2) degree in an appropriate engineering, computing manufacturing or construction discipline.
Graduates who hold equivalent qualifications in related disciplines or who have relevant industrial experience will be considered for places on a case-by-case basis in line with TUS RPL policy.
Schedule
- Induction: Saturday 6 September 2025 from 9.00am to 1.00pm
- Programme Delivery: 1 Year, 2/3 Evenings per week ONLINE, Plus occasional on campus workshops on Saturdays in Semester Two
Fee
This programme will be funded/part-funded by Springboard+ for the academic year 2025/2026.
- Eligible unemployed applicants: fully funded
- Eligible employed applicants and eligible recent graduates (Summer 2023): 90% funded, with a 10% fee payable directly to TUS Midlands (€850)

Typically, Graduates of this programme have enhanced promotional opportunities in their company’s and have moved on to career tracks where management such as Industry 4.0 or Civil Engineering becoming more realistic propositions for them.
This programme also offers an opportunity to change career track and move into management industries in more generic engineering practices.
