This Level 7 CPD course focuses on coaching in health and social care practice, aiming to enhance participants' reflective skills and develop strategies for effective coaching. The course culminates in a 4,500-word essay assessment.

This is a Level 7 (postgraduate) CPD course, worth 20 credits. It focuses on coaching in the health and social care practice. The course aims to help participants analyze coaching approaches, enhance their reflective skills, and develop strategies and skills for coaching in their practice. It also aims to develop knowledge of the theory underpinning coaching and explore evidence-based strategies for facilitating coaching.


Outline:

  • Course Content: The course will critically analyze the evidence base for integrating and justifying coaching approaches in practice.
  • Participants will examine various scenarios and discuss ways to manage coaching situations and improve effective coaching practice.
  • Teaching and Learning: The course delivery will be a mix of face-to-face classroom lectures, seminars, workshops, critical reading, and online learning.
  • Full attendance is required for each session. Interaction with fellow students is encouraged to share experiences and approaches to coaching.
  • Course Schedule: The course runs for 15 weeks part-time and starts in July, October, January, and April.
