  • Concentration Areas: Students choose an area of concentration from eight options: Building Peace in Divided Societies, Global Engagement, Political and Social Action, Justice and Reconciliation, Interpersonal Dynamics, Collaborative Leadership, Environmental Conflict and Collaboration, and Individualized Concentration.
  • Foreign Language Proficiency: Students must demonstrate intermediate-level proficiency in a foreign language.
  • Field Experience: Students are required to complete a minimum of three credits of field experience through an internship, study abroad, field experience course, or independent study.
  • Skills and Practice: Students must complete four credits from a list of courses that focus on practical skills and applications.
  • Writing-Intensive Requirement: Students must complete at least one writing-intensive course in their major at the 300-level or above.
  • Mason Core: Students must fulfill all Mason Core requirements, including foundation, exploration, and integration categories.
  • Accelerated Master's Option: Highly qualified students can pursue an accelerated Master's degree in Conflict Analysis and Resolution, allowing them to earn both an undergraduate and graduate degree in five years.
