Program Overview

Students gain skills in problem-solving, communication, and consumer resource management, and have the option of concentrating in either Family and Consumer Sciences Education or an Interdisciplinary Concentration. Graduates are eligible to take the exam to be certified in FCS with the American Association of Family and Consumer Sciences and have career opportunities in a variety of fields, including education, consumer information, and non-profit work.
