The program offers two different plans of study: Plan A and Plan B. Both plans require a minimum of 30 credits to complete.

  • ERHS 550: Principles of Radiation Biology (15 credits)
  • ERHS 699: Thesis (3-6 credits)
  • ERHS 770: Radiation/Cancer Biology-Comparative Oncology (22 credits)
  • Select one of the following courses:
  • ERHS 530: Radiological Physics and Dosimetry I (3 credits)
  • ERHS 712: Physics of Diagnostic Imaging (3 credits)
  • ERHS 714: Radiation Therapy Physics (3 credits)
  • Electives (500-level or above):
  • 3 credits (minimum)
  • Notes:
  • ERHS 551A, ERHS 551B, or ERHS 551C may be substituted for ERHS 550.
  • ERHS 699 is taken in two semesters for a total of 2 credits.
  • Electives must be approved by the student's advisor and graduate committee.

Plan B:

  • Required Courses:
  • Select one of the following courses:
  • ERHS 450: Introduction to Radiation Biology (3-5 credits)
  • ERHS 550: Principles of Radiation Biology (1 credit)
  • Select one of the following courses:

  • Select one of the following courses:
  • STAR 511: Design and Data Analysis for Researchers I (3-4 credits)
  • STAT 307: Introduction to Biostatistics (3-4 credits)

  • Presentation of research project results and answering questions on design, results, and future directions.

  • Research Project: A prospective or high-quality retrospective research project is required for Plan B.
