Graduates are well-equipped for careers in heavy industries, hardware companies, communication, and other sectors seeking advanced computer systems experts.
Program Outline
Degree Overview:
The MSc Computer Engineering is the first in the UK and provides a balanced perspective of both hardware and software elements of computing systems, and their relative design trade-offs and applications. It will build on your knowledge in mathematics, science, and engineering to ensure you have a sound foundation in the areas needed for a career in this field. Laboratory experiences enable you to understand experimental design and simulation techniques.
- Intelligent Flat (iSpace)
- Robotics Arena
- Advanced networking and multimedia labs Advances in technology are yielding smaller and higher-performance computer systems permeating into a wide range of applications, from communication systems to consumer products and common household appliances. Computer engineering encompasses the principles, methods, and modern tools for the design and implementation of computing systems. Our School is a community of scholars leading the way in technological research and development. Today's computer scientists are creative people who are focused and committed, yet restless and experimental. Our work is driven by creativity and imagination as well as technical excellence. That's why we are ranked 6th in the UK for research power in computer science (Times Higher Education research power measure, Research Excellence Framework 2021). This course is also available on a part-time basis.
