- The program is available to start in either October or January.
- The program does not include a Masters degree in its first year, unlike other existing Integrated PhDs offered at Essex.
- Students will take a number of core and compulsory modules in their first year, and the next three years will be conducting their individual research project.
- The program is designed for students who do not have English as a first language and may have been studying in a different country, or out of a traditional academic environment for some time.

Entry Requirements:
UK entry requirements
You will need a good Masters degree, or equivalent, in a related subject. A well developed research proposal is also essential. You will normally be required to attend an interview/Skype interview for acceptance, and acceptance is subject to research expertise in the department.
