Teaching & Learning
How will I learn?
Our programmes have been designed to be as accessible and flexible as possible, particularly for those in full-time employment or living outside the UK. As long as you have internet access you can study wherever and whenever is convenient for you, enabling you to update your knowledge and develop your critical skills.
There are three intakes per year so you can start in January, May or September. Each 14 week module includes recorded lectures from academics and industry experts (where possible), along with guided readings, discussion forums and written assignments.
You will choose three 20-credit modules from a choice of four, so you can focus on the themes which are most relevant to you.
What will I learn?
You will choose a selection of modules covering equine nutrition, equine anatomy and behaviour, equine reproductive physiology and breeding, and grassland science.
How will I be assessed?
There are no exams within this programme. Taught modules are assessed via coursework (namely reports and essays, but also literature reviews, case studies, business plans and data analysis tasks), presentations and forum discussion.
