Floristry Design Hobby Course
Overview
Indulge your love of all things floral with our fun, informal Floristry Design workshop at Writtle College.
Full Description
If you’re looking to learn a new skill, or simply enjoy a fun activity with friends, our four-week workshop could be for you.
Specially designed for beginners, our workshops explore traditional floral designs alongside sustainable techniques and the use of foam-free mechanics that are gentler on the environment.
Our friendly and experienced floristry team will guide you to create your own floral masterpieces.
We make use of seasonal flowers and foliage, and discuss flower care advice. At the end of each session you can take your arrangement home to enjoy. The course fee includes all materials, including flowers, foliage and sundries.
We usually offer both morning and evening workshops (one workshop per week over four weeks), and you can choose the option that suits you.
Free parking is available on Writtle campus: we'll issue a permit to you and ask that it's clearly displayed in your vehicle. Tea and coffee-making facilities are available; please bring any other refreshments.
Who Should Attend?
This is an informal workshop for those who are new to floristry. We don’t follow specific modules or carry out any assessments.
If you already have floristry experience at level 2 or 3, and would like to learn new skills and techniques, see our Advanced Floristry hobby course.
