Learn how to prepare and lay paving with our practical, one-day course in Writtle.
Full Description
Our course is designed to give you confidence to tackle paving projects yourself.
Over the course of the day you'll have the opportunity to gain skills using a range of materials, including block, sandstone and concrete. We'll also demonstrate basic techniques of cutting, and types of laying.
In addition, advice will be given on the types of equipment you'll need, and relevant health and safety requirements.
Free parking is available on campus in Writtle: we'll issue a permit to you and ask that it's clearly displayed in your vehicle. Tea and coffee-making facilities are available; please bring a packed lunch and any other refreshments.
Who Should Attend?
This course is open to all. You do not need to have any previous experience.

There are no formal entry requirements for this course, however you're required to wear work clothes suitable for the weather including sturdy footwear (preferably with steel toe caps) and gloves.
Any prior back injuries must be declared.
