Picturebook Summer School

Overview

Enjoy learning about the process of writing and illustrating a picturebook for children.


Full Description

Take five days to learn about the process of illustrating a picturebook with a team of specialists from the MA Children's Book Illustration course from Cambridge School of Art.


Our friendly and experienced staff will take you through the stages of making a picturebook, step-by-step, so that you gain an understanding of pacing, storytelling, text and image relationships, characterisation and more.


Whether you're a novice or have some experience of illustration, come and join us in our beautiful studios for an intense week of drawing, learning, planning and sharing with like-minded people.

Accommodation

Please make your own arrangements regarding accommodation. There are a number of options located near ARU to suit a range of budgets. The Travelodge on Newmarket Road, Cambridge, is a five- to ten-minute walk from our campus. Our campus address is East Road, Cambridge CB1 1PT.
