Program Overview

The Master of Disability Studies with a specialization in Education: Deaf Hard of Hearing equips individuals to support deaf and hard of hearing children and students. Delivered by NextSense in affiliation with Macquarie University, the program combines coursework with a professional placement, providing a comprehensive understanding of deafness, specialized teaching practices, and career pathways. Graduates are qualified as Teachers of the Deaf and eligible for full membership in the National Australian Association of Teachers of the Deaf.
