The Graduate Diploma in Brain and Mind Sciences is a one-year program that provides focused education and training for the next generation of science, medical, nursing, psychiatry, and psychology workforces. Graduates of the program will have opportunities to work as graduate scientists in the industry or university-based settings, or pursue further career advancement in health settings.

Graduates of the Graduate Diploma in Brain and Mind Sciences will have opportunities to:
- Work as graduate scientists in the industry (science organisations, biotech industries, pharmaceutical companies, government) or university-based settings
- Work in science-related roles in the above organisations such as science administration, research management, science writing
- Further their career if already working in health settings such as general practice, clinical psychology, psychiatry, nursing, and allied health

- The program is offered through the Brain and Mind Centre, which is home to clinics focused on Parkinson’s Disease, Multiple Sclerosis, motor neuron disease, dementia, youth mental health and sleep disorders, all of which are tied to clinical research programs.
- The Brain and Mind Centre also has leading preclinical laboratories working on the genetics of neurodevelopment, the etiology of neurodegenerative diseases like Alzheimer’s Disease, Parkinson’s Disease, Multiple Sclerosis and motor neuron disease, and a strong drive toward translational technologies such as neuroimaging and brain and mind related-drug discovery.
