Program Overview

The UMass Amherst PhD program in school psychology prepares students for careers as school psychologists or for further training in health-service psychology. Graduates are eligible for licensure in health-service psychology and meet certification requirements in most states. The program aligns with the American Psychological Association's accreditation standards and features a sequential, cumulative, and complex course and practicum sequence.
