Post-Baccalaureate Prerequisites in Speech, Language, and Hearing Sciences

Degree Overview:
This program is designed for individuals who hold an undergraduate degree in a field other than speech-language pathology or audiology and are interested in pursuing a graduate degree in one of these fields. The program provides the necessary prerequisite coursework to prepare students for graduate school.
Objectives:
- Provide a comprehensive foundation in the normal processes of speech, language, and hearing.
- Introduce students to the characteristics of disorders in speech, language, and hearing.
Teaching:
- Courses are offered both online and in-person.
- Online courses are asynchronous, allowing students to complete coursework at their own pace within the academic semester.
- On-campus courses are held in person on Tuesdays and Thursdays, providing students with the opportunity to interact with other students and faculty.
Other:
- The program offers a variety of courses, including:
- Anatomy, physiology, and neurology for speech and hearing
- Speech and hearing sciences
- Speech and language development and disorders
- Audiology and aural rehabilitation
- Clinical observations (ASHA-approved 25 guided hours)
- Students can take courses à la carte or in sequence.
