Program Overview

UMass Amherst's PhD in Nutrition program combines advanced research, teaching, and management skills with multimodality methods to solve nutrition-related health problems. Students specialize in areas such as the impact of economic and other factors on food access and prepare for careers in research, teaching, and public health in academic, government, non-profit, and private industry settings. The program is fully accredited by the Council on Education for Public Health (CEPH), and all UMass doctoral students are currently funded.
