The program prepares graduates for careers in research, clinical nutrition, community nutrition, and nutrition education, or for doctoral studies in nutrition. The program offers both thesis and non-thesis options. The thesis option is designed for students interested in pursuing research or a PhD, while the non-thesis option is designed for students interested in becoming a registered dietitian (RD). The non-thesis option includes the didactics program in dietetics (DPD) option, which meets the requirements of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics.
