Program Overview

The polymer science and engineering graduate program provides students with a comprehensive education spanning all aspects of polymeric and soft materials, from synthesis and physics to engineering and properties. Graduates are trained to be interdisciplinary problem solvers with a broad skillset, including macromolecular materials synthesis, multi-scale characterization of soft material morphology, engineering and processing of polymeric materials, physics, and computational modeling. Cross-disciplinary research and collaborations with industry partners, national laboratories, and academic institutions worldwide are key aspects of the program.
