Program Overview

This accredited postgraduate certificate in Food Safety Hygiene and Management prepares veterinary surgeons for the Higher Certificate in Food Control. It provides 60 credits of part-time study over eight months, including compulsory modules on Food Production, Food Enforcement, and Food Standards. Optional modules allow for specialization in areas like Food Microbiology and Food Safety Management Systems. Graduates are eligible to work in food premises such as slaughterhouses and cutting plants upon completion.
