Program Overview

The MA Music (with Performance) program at the University of Birmingham is a one-year full-time or two-year part-time postgraduate degree designed to equip students with advanced practical, theoretical, and professional skills in music performance. The program aims to nurture students' holistic development as performers and prepare them for careers within the contemporary music industry. The curriculum includes core modules in advanced performance, performance skills, and music employability, as well as optional modules from a range of specialist areas. Students also present a substantial solo recital and receive tailored instrumental or vocal tuition from leading professional performers.
