This program provides an introduction to statistical approaches in data analysis and the development of clinical interventions. It covers practical guidance in designing and executing studies using real-world data, as well as an overview of other research methods. The program is taught by experts in statistics and oncology and includes an oral presentation and examination for assessment.

Degree Overview:

The course will start with an introduction/revision of commonly used statistical approaches in analysing data, an introduction to the development pathway for clinical interventions, covering the transition from the laboratory through all phases of clinical trials practical guidance in the design and execution of studies that use real world data an introduction to other research methods, including systematic review and qualitative research.


Other:

This module can be taken as a stand alone course if required. Entry requirements if taken as a stand alone course are 6 months oncology experience and holding a degree, preferably a 2.1 or equivalent qualifications in an appropriate medical/scientific subject.
