It provides comprehensive knowledge and skills in public management, leadership, performance management, and digital era public policy. The program is delivered in partnership with SOLACE and prepares graduates for leadership roles in the UK public sector.

Degree Overview:
This program, developed in partnership with SOLACE, the representative body for Chief Executives and senior managers working in the UK, aims to equip students with the knowledge, skills, and competencies needed to thrive in the dynamic and challenging contemporary public sector environment. It is designed for individuals currently working or aspiring to work in the public sector, providing them with the necessary tools to become dynamic and effective public sector leaders. The program emphasizes the development of leadership skills to address challenges in an uncertain and changing fiscal and political environment, bolstering career prospects and opportunities for promotion. It also focuses on identifying and evaluating commercial opportunities in the public sector and responding to performance challenges through the strategic application of theories, concepts, and frameworks.

The program is delivered through a blended learning approach, combining online and face-to-face content. It is a part-time program that spans two years.
Compulsory Modules:
- Public Management and Governance (20 Credits): This module explores the principles and practices of public management, examining the relationship between government, citizens, and the public sector.
- Public Leadership (20 Credits): This module focuses on developing leadership skills and competencies essential for success in the public sector.
- Performance, Strategy and Challenge (20 Credits): This module examines the strategic planning and performance management frameworks used in the public sector, equipping students with the tools to address challenges and achieve organizational goals.
- Public Policy and Evidence (20 Credits): This module explores the policy process, emphasizing the use of evidence-based decision-making in the public sector.
- Commercialisation of Public Services (20 Credits): This module examines the increasing trend of commercialization in the public sector, exploring the opportunities and challenges associated with this approach.
- Digital Era Public Policy (20 Credits): This module explores the impact of digital technologies on public policy, examining the challenges and opportunities presented by the digital age.
- Dissertation (60 Credits): This module involves an extended research project, allowing students to delve deeper into a specific area of interest within public management and leadership.
Assessment:
Modules are typically assessed through a variety of essay-based and task-orientated assignments. Each module includes at least one or more assignments, totaling 4000 words per module. Students receive clear guidance on assessed work, marking criteria, and deadlines. Personalized tutorial support is provided throughout the program to enhance learning. At the Masters level, students are required to complete an extended research project (dissertation) of between 10,000-12,000 words, which can be linked to their workplace activities.
