Program Overview

The UC Clermont AA in Pre-Secondary Education: Language Arts prepares students for secondary teaching (grades 7-12) by developing a deep understanding of English language arts, as well as the complex factors and practices involved in education. With a focus on diversity and lifelong learning, the program requires students to volunteer in local schools and complete an annual background check. Upon completion of the associate degree, students are expected to transfer to UC Clifton or Northern Kentucky University to complete their preparation and earn a bachelor's degree in education.
