Program Overview

The Certificate in Correctional Rehabilitation, offered by the UC School of Criminal Justice, equips students with a comprehensive understanding of the risk, need, and responsivity model of offender treatment. The program prepares students for careers in correctional settings, including probation, parole, prisons, and community-based facilities. Students must have a 2.0 GPA and receive advising from Student Services to complete the certificate, which is ideal for students in criminal justice, substance abuse, psychology, or social work, as well as working professionals seeking deeper insights into correctional rehabilitation.
