Program Overview

The Early Childhood Education and Development minor offers students insights into child development from birth to age five, preparing them for careers in fields such as social work, pediatrics, counseling, and child life. Through coursework and observations at the Arlitt Child and Family Research and Education Center, students gain knowledge of developmental concerns, family engagement, play-based learning, and creating supportive instructional environments for young children.
