About this course
Audiology with Clinical Placement (MSc)
The MSc Audiology with Clinical Placement is a full-time 2-year master's degree that combines scientific learning with practical training. The course offers a great way to develop skills and knowledge in audiology, and applicants who complete the course are eligible to register with The Academy for Healthcare Science (AHCS) to work in the NHS as an audiologist.
Course Structure
The first year of the MSc Audiology with Clinical Placement and the MSc Audiology are identical. The audiology training is divided into 2 semesters, with the last 4 months dedicated to the research project, at the end of which a thesis is submitted.
In the second year, students participate in a clinical placement, which allows them to complete the Certificate of Clinical Competence.
Entry Requirements
- A UK bachelor’s degree with upper second-class honours (2:1) in a related discipline such as a physical, biological, life or behavioural science, or an engineering subject.
- Excellent interpersonal, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
- An interest in healthcare, science, and learning.
- Motivation and initiative.
- An understanding of the audiology profession.
- Visited, or intend to visit, an audiology or related department.

Tuition Fees
- Fees for the first year of study:
- UK students: £9,250
- EU/International students: £31,500
- Fees for the second year of study (placement year):
