The program provides foundational mathematical methods in calculus and linear algebra, equipping students with the skills required for more advanced programs.

• This course allows students to pick up the foundational mathematics required for entry into the Online Professional Diploma in Data Analytics, or the Higher Diploma in Statistics.
• Students may then carry on to complete the Online MSc in Data Analytics or Royal Statistical Society accredited MA or MSc in Statistics.

• The program is delivered completely online over the summer trimester.
• Students must attend UCD in person for exams in August.
• The program commences in May each year.
• The program consists of two 5 credit modules.
• The total program fee is €1125.
• For entry to the Professional Certificate in Mathematics for Data Analytics and Statistics (LEVEL 8), students must have obtained an undergraduate or masters degree to standard 2:1 in any subject.
• Those without this requirement but with substantial industry experience related to the area, or relevant professional qualifications, will also be considered on a case by case basis.
