Program Overview

The MSc Urban Design & Planning program at UCD equips graduates with the knowledge and skills to work as urban designers. The one-year, full-time program focuses on urban design theory and practice, conservation, nature-based solutions, and the relationship between research and design. Students develop core skills in sustainable urbanism, social science research methods, and collaboration. The program prepares graduates for careers in the public, private, and community sectors, including roles in planning and urban design consultancies, local authorities, development firms, and NGOs.
