Program Overview

The MSc Child Art Psychotherapy Studies at University College Dublin provides a two-year, part-time training in the Vasarhelyi Method of Child Art Psychotherapy, equipping students with a foundation in child mental health and psychotherapy theories. Through clinical practice, students develop therapeutic skills to enhance clinical practice when verbal methods alone are not sufficient to bring about a child's engagement in psychotherapy. The program emphasizes the importance of personal psychotherapy and group process work as integral components of training.
