The Professional Certificate in Digital Methods is a Level 8 NQI program offered by UCD in partnership with the Advance Centre. Designed for non-STEM professionals and graduates, this 4-month blended/online program enhances digital competence, data interpretation, and transferable skills. The program includes modules on digital publishing, data analysis, social network analysis, digital storytelling, and digital projects, empowering graduates to advance their careers across disciplines.

Degree Overview:

This Professional Certificate in Digital Methods (Z376) is a Level 8 NQI program offered by the School of English, Drama and Film in partnership with the Advance Centre: Professional Education for Digital Transformation. The Advance Centre is a collaboration between UCD, ATU and TU Dublin, focusing on Digital Transformation in STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics) for both part-time professionals and full-time graduate students.


Objectives:

  • Enhance digital competence and build capacity to interpret data.
  • Familiarize students with basic machine reading techniques in non-STEM fields.
  • Equip students with transferable digital skills for career advancement across disciplines.
  • Develop the ability to work with data relevant to academic disciplines and beyond.
