Program Overview

The Higher Diploma in Midwifery program equips Registered General Nurses to become skilled and compassionate midwives through a combination of academic study and clinical practice. This full-time, 18-month program prepares students for registration as Registered Midwives (RM) with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland, enabling them to provide high-quality, evidence-based midwifery care in various settings. Graduates gain experience in all aspects of midwifery, including antenatal, intrapartum, and postnatal care, as well as the social, regulatory, and research dimensions of the field.
