Overview of the Healthcare Innovation Postgraduate Diploma

The Healthcare Innovation Postgraduate Diploma is a one-year, level 9 course offered by Trinity College Dublin. Course Structure

• The Postgraduate Diploma in Healthcare Innovation comprises eight taught modules, including six foundation modules and two project modules.
• Module attendance consists of two-day blocks approximately every six weeks, with each module attendance day including eight hours of lecture sessions, group presentations, and in-class exercises.
• Non-contact time for each module includes pre-module reading, pre-module paper submission, and end-of-module research, end-of-module assignment, and application in the workplace of the project.

Course Content

• The course covers a range of topics, including evolution and revolution in the healthcare landscape, design thinking, new venture dynamics, process innovation, health economics, and healthcare management.
• The program includes methodology workshops and a practical field project, providing students with hands-on experience in applying innovative practices in healthcare.

Admission Requirements

• Applicants are expected to hold an undergraduate Bachelor's degree with an upper second-class (2.1) grade or higher.
• Experience of working in the healthcare sector is required.
• Applicants whose first language is not English must present a relevant qualification, meeting the Band B (Standard Entry) English language requirements.
