Program Overview
This 10-week course introduces learners to Irish Sign Language (ISL) and aims to bring them to A1 proficiency in both receptive and productive skills. Classes are taught by Fourth Year ISL teaching students and cover selected aspects of Deaf culture. The course runs on Tuesdays from January 24th, 2024, from 7pm-8:30pm in Room 112, Centre for Deaf Studies, Trinity College Dublin.

This ten-week course introduces the learners to Irish Sign Language (ISL) and delivers teaching to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR). Classes are taught by Fourth Year ISL teaching students. The aim is to bring participants up to A1 receptive skills and A1 productive skills, enabling them to engage in a basic conversation with Deaf people. This course also introduces selected parts of Deaf culture.
Teaching:
Classes will run from 24th January 2024 on Tuesdays between 7pm-8:30pm. Teaching will take place in-person on campus in Room 112, Centre for Deaf Studies, Trinity College Dublin, the University of Dublin, First Floor, 7-9 South Leinster Street, Dublin 2.
