Program Overview

Postgraduate Diploma in Accounting

The Postgraduate Diploma (PGDip) in Accounting is transitioning to an MSc in Accounting and Analytics. Students applying for the 2025/26 academic year can choose between:

  • PGDip (60 ECTS credits, 8-month course): Core accounting and finance modules such as Financial Reporting, Taxation, Audit, and Financial Management.
  • MSc (90 ECTS credits, 12-month course): Includes all PGDip modules, plus additional analytics-focused components and a Capstone project.

Overview

Designed for non-accounting graduates, this full-time eight-month conversion course fast-tracks students towards becoming qualified accountants and focuses on the fundamentals of financial accounting, management accounting, corporate finance, audit, taxation, and related areas. The programme provides significant exemptions from the examinations of professional accountancy bodies. It is fully accredited by ACCA, Chartered Accountants Ireland, and CIMA.

Course Structure

There are 12 taught modules delivered over the eight-month programme. Students are assessed through a mixture of written exams and continuous assessments. A dissertation is not required.
