Admission Requirements
To be eligible for this program, applicants must:
- Hold a level 8 degree in a healthcare-related program
- Or satisfy the course committee that they have the ability to successfully complete the MC program based on evidence of clinical experience working in healthcare
- Be currently registered with the appropriate professional regulatory body (e.g., Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland or equivalent in the country of domicile)
- Have a minimum of two years’ post-registration clinical experience, with at least one year of full-time experience in the specific area of practice

Program Content
Participants will learn to:
- Undertake a comprehensive health history
- Perform a physical health assessment using a systematic approach
- Critically evaluate the synthesis of history taking and physical assessment to support clinical reasoning
- Identify differential diagnosis to assist clinical decision-making
- Communicate effectively with the healthcare team
Delivery and Assessment
The program is delivered in a blended format, with 3 in-person days and 4 online days over the 12-week period. Assessment includes:
- Case-study Presentation (50%)
- OSCE (50%)
- Formative assessment: Submission of clinical physical assessment workbook
