Overview
Our postgraduate radiation courses are available in two strands, Clinical Practice or Treatment Planning. This is the Clinical Practice strand. This strand aims to develop knowledge and skills in the advanced radiation therapy management of cancer patients and to enable you to critically evaluate and participate in research in this area.

Admission Requirements
Applications must:
- Hold an Honours Bachelor's degree in Radiation Therapy, Medical Physics, Medicine or a related discipline; or otherwise satisfy the selection panel that they have the ability to complete and benefit from the course.
- Possess evidence of sufficient, relevant professional experience.
- Have access to radiation therapy planning software for the duration of the course.
- Have a fluent command of the English language. Students whose first language is not English must meet the university's English language requirements.
English Language Requirements
All applicants to Trinity are required to provide official evidence of proficiency in the English language. Applicants to this course are required to meet Band B (Standard Entry) English language requirements.
Course Structure
The P.Grad.Cert. is worth 30 ECTS: the P.Grad.Dip. is worth 60 ECTS. The programme uses a range of authentic continuous assessments which gives you the opportunity to produce work which is highly relevant to the clinical environment and develops independent life-long learning skills; this includes written and practical assignments, online activities, project and case studies.
Course Content
There are two entry routes for this course: Postgraduate Certificate and Postgraduate Diploma. Both these entry routes may lead to an M.Sc. The P.Grad.Cert consists of three online modules completed over one academic year: Imaging for Advanced Radiotherapy Practice; Delineation for Radiotherapy Planning; Advances in Radiation Therapy. On successful completion of the Certificate, you may choose to register to complete three additional modules towards the award of the P.Grad.Dip.

Graduates of the course are able to expand their career into advanced clinical practice, management and/or research, as well as work in an advanced role in their department.
