Leadership and Learning Innovation: Community Education Emphasis
Overview
The Leadership and Learning Innovation major prepares students for educational leadership roles outside of the traditional classroom. Graduates with a Bachelor of Science in Leadership and Learning Innovation fill lead roles in a wide range of fields, including volunteer programming, nonprofit work, youth services, and community education and outreach.
Learning Outcomes
- LEADERSHIP: Students will analyze and compare their own leadership style with established leadership approaches and evaluate innovative leadership practices that positively impact real-life, educational settings.
- LEARNING: Students will evaluate formal and informal learning environments and propose innovative strategies that promote equitable educational experiences for all learners.
- ACCESS AND OPPORTUNITY: Students will analyze how social systems influence educational access and outcomes and propose responsive strategies to promote fairness across learning environments.
