Overview
The Sustainable Landscapes Emphasis of the Bachelor of Science in Sustainable Built Environments program focuses on designing innovative and sustainable landscapes. Students learn about environmental design, planning, and management challenges and how to overcome them. They study subjects such as water harvesting, passive cooling, urban heat island mitigation, climate adaptability, and how landscapes can improve human health. They also explore urban ecology, natural resource management, and environmental policy.
