Overview
The Studio Art: Illustration, Design and Animation Emphasis program is designed to provide students with a comprehensive education in the principles and practices of illustration, design, and animation. The program aims to foster creativity, technical skills, and critical thinking, preparing students for careers in the arts and related fields.
Learning Outcomes
Upon completing the program, students will be able to:
- Demonstrate an in-depth comprehension of art history, contemporary practice, and theory
- Develop a portfolio that demonstrates the ability to utilize critical inquiry and research to develop meaningful and innovative content
- Develop a portfolio that demonstrates facility with, and command of, chosen tools and materials
- Demonstrate an understanding of how concept informs choices with respect to tools and materials
- Demonstrate the emergence of a personal voice and visual style/approach in their work
- Demonstrate knowledge of the steps and elements required to embark on the pursuit of a successful career (in and/or out of the arts) after graduation
