Program Overview

This 12-week module explores analytical methods for the linguistic study of communication disorders. Students will focus on clinical phonetics, phonology, prosody, grammar, pragmatics, and Conversation Analysis. The module is suitable for speech and language therapists and others interested in people with speech, language, and communication difficulties. It aims to provide students with a grounding in methods to develop feasible research projects and critically evaluate linguistic or phonetic aspects of current clinical research.
