Program Overview

BITS Pilani offers a full-time Ph.D. in General Sciences, focusing on research and teaching in Humanities and Social Sciences. The program covers diverse areas including Theatre Studies, Film Studies, International Relations, Gender Studies, and more. Eligible candidates must hold an MA or equivalent degree with a minimum of 55% and will be selected through a written exam and interview (M.Phil. and JRF holders are exempt from the written exam). Full-time candidates may receive Institutional Fellowships of up to INR 31,000 per month.
