Internship
The internship year is conducted over 48 weeks, divided into two phases. Phase I covers 32 weeks and has unified requirements that all enrolled interns are expected to meet. Phase II covers 16 weeks and is designed to prepare interns for their targeted future positions as nurses.
How will you learn?
Through different teaching and learning strategies, including curricular and extra-curricular activities, to achieve the program learning outcomes in all areas. This includes interactive lectures, small group discussions, case-based learning, team-based learning, assignments, tutorials, flipped classes, research activities, student-prepared presentations, case-based learning, and reflection.
How will you be assessed?
Through direct assessment methods, including written exams, assignment evaluation, presentation evaluation, portfolio assessment, and clinical portfolio evaluation. Indirect assessment methods include course evaluation surveys, graduate surveys, and employer satisfaction surveys.
"DAAM" Nursing Scholarship Program
The "DAAM" Nursing Scholarship Program is designed to support students pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Nursing, as part of Fakeeh College for Medical Sciences' commitment to strengthening critical healthcare professions and addressing the increasing demand for qualified nursing personnel in the local healthcare sector.
Careers Overview
Upon successful completion of the requirements for the Bachelor of Nursing Program, graduates can apply for the Saudi Nursing Licensure Exam (SNLE) from the Saudi Commission for Health Specialist (SCFHS) to become nurse specialists. Graduates may work in hospitals, clinics, primary health centers, home health care, schools, companies, and research institutions. They may also seek specializations to advance their careers through postgraduate studies.
Job Prospects
Nurse specialists will be responsible for caring for patients and facilitating their speedy recovery. They will also educate patients and their families on prevention and healthy habits. Graduates may practice in various clinical areas, including medical-surgical units, emergency rooms, pediatric units, obstetrics and gynecology units, intensive care units, neonatal intensive care units, operation rooms, recovery rooms, and isolation floors. With additional training and experience, nurse specialists can become department charge nurses or unit nurse managers or work in research centers.
