Degree Overview:
The Doctor (PhD) of Management program at the IAU-UAE branch aims to educate Higher Degree by Research (HDR/PhD) students in the concepts and techniques required to understand a range of management disciplines and to carry out research on issues in professional business practice.
- PLO2: Demonstrate academic research skills in management sub-disciplines, including identifying research problems, considering research ethics, reviewing existing literature, designing a research study, analyzing data, and summarizing and interpreting research findings.
- PLO3: Develop knowledge through the application of scientific methods and research into the business world.
- PLO4: Develop students' ability to conduct a research project and evaluate theoretical underpinnings in business, professional, and educational environments.
- PLO5: Evaluate vision and tactics and implement successful strategies in a complex business environment.
- PLO6: Prepare to enter the international/global business world, publish scholarly papers, and teach at the tertiary education level.

Program Career Outcomes:
The Doctorate of Management degree is designed to empower graduates for lucrative and top-level career paths. Upon completing the program, students will be granted the title of doctor. The degree and title help students pursue a broad scope of vocation in a variety of organizations as well as academia.
Specific Career Outcomes by Discipline:
- Business Marketing: Graduates can expect high-rank positions with high salaries, including university instructor, chief marketing officer, market research analyst, cost estimator, public relation specialist, survey researcher, and marketing manager.
- Public Administration: Graduates are trained, prepared, and educated to be leaders in professions such as social policy, University Professors, healthcare policy, Finance and budgeting, public policy consultancy, and government researchers.
- Finance: Graduates possess special instructions and research of financial topics, making them advantageous for various positions in different fields. They are considered an asset to organizations for their skills and knowledge. Positions include chief executive officer, university professor, financial analyst, financial manager, economist, actuary, commodities agent, and budget analyst.
- Industrial Management: Graduates are skilled and trained to increase efficiency in business operations. They can work in research and academic fields or business fields, landing jobs with higher positions and higher salary packages. Positions include Industrial engineer manager, construction manager, production manager, purchasing manager, operations manager, facility manager, quality assurance control manager, and organizational consultants. They are familiar with digital business principles and can quickly adapt to changes in the dynamic IT industry.
Other:
- Dissertation: Doctor of Management students are expected to complete a dissertation, the final scholarly product of the program. This research project is a compilation of students' academic and practical knowledge about management sub-disciplines.
- Program Structure: The program is structured into core courses and core elective courses, with a total of 18 credit hours dedicated to the PhD dissertation.
- Program Courses: The program offers a wide range of courses across various management disciplines, including Marketing, Public Administration, Finance, Industrial Management, and Information Technology. Each discipline has its own set of core and elective courses.

- For students who do not meet the English Language Requirement through citizenship or prior studies in English in an approved country, an approved English language test completed within the last two years must be provided.
- General Entry Requirements:
- Admission to the post-graduate program at the Islamic Azad University-UAE Branch requires the completion of a graduate program (Master’s degree).
- Students must have a Master’s degree in management to be admitted to the Doctorate of Business Administration program.
- If the applicant holds a degree in other programs, or disciplines other than Business Administration, they need to complete some foundation courses in the first semester of their studies.
