Program Overview

The Civil Engineering for Risk Mitigation program at Politecnico di Milano offers a two-year Master's degree taught in English. The program combines civil engineering disciplines with risk management tools to focus on mitigating risks associated with structures, infrastructure, and soil, particularly from both natural and human-caused hazards. Students select three modules in their second year from specialties including environmental structures, slope stabilization, emergency planning, structure retrofitting, and seismic emergency management. The program concludes with a final project that addresses real-world risk mitigation challenges.
